The Pitztal stretches from the district capital of Imst southwards, through the Alps to Wildspitze summit, the highest summit of Tirol (3,774m). At the entrance of the valley lush green meadows alternate with fields and majestic gardens. In the central Pitztal colourful pastures silhouette against the white, glowing glaciers.
