SKI TOURS IN THE PITZ VALLEY

Ski touring is becoming increasingly popular with ski and outdoor enthusiasts, but again , we are moving in high alpine terrain, so beginners and newcomers to the area should be sure to take a local guide.

Basics:

• Good equipment with avalanche transceiver (check batteries beforehand) and emergency equipment
• Course for the right ascent technique (all-inclusive ski tour for beginners)
• Check avalanche situation and slope conditions
• Food, especially for longer tours
• Return to the slopes in case of uncertainty
• Do not venture on your own, take a guide for help
• Never go alone as a beginner
