Your path leads through forests and over snowfields, along frozen streams and watercourses, along trails and cross-country skiing tracks. In the depths of winter as in the warming spring sun, a real experience.

Here in Pitztal the winter is long, we have snow until the beginning of May, as long as you can ski, cross-country ski or snowboard here.

Because of its altitude, the Pitztal is also perfect for touring, the ultimate sport for those who want to find themselves and conquer the wild Pitztal winter landscape at their own pace during the day or at night.

Good for the circulation, blood pressure, muscles, but especially for the soul.

For those who prefer a more leisurely pace and don’t necessarily need to go high, snowshoeing would be a great alternative.

Especially in the Kaunergrat Nature Park there are great circular hiking trails ideal for beginners (Possibly also with a guide). Snowshoeing makes the winter landscape seem like a fairy tale, through the slow pace you can experience a special experience with all your senses. Glistening snow, forests and meadows shrouded in white, sun rays in the red face and the sound of your own breath, just great!

The special tip: The route Piller Höhe – Kaunerberg , walking time approx. 1.5 hours
Or to the Tiefentalalm at 1880 m, through the forest, walking time approx. 3,5 hours
